My name is Ignatious Matope. I am an award winning filmmaker and founder of Pikicha Afrika, an advertising agency and film production company based inMutare, Zimbabwe. This team is formulating a film strategy document that will inform policy and set out modalities for the development of the film industry in Zimbabwe
More About Me?
For over 12 years I have produced films, documentaries; created audio-visual content for corporate and civic organization media. Recently I won a Megafest Leadership Award for Advertising Agency Leader of the Year 2022 (Platinum). My films have won awards at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival and the Chinhoyi Film Fest. I have also been nominated twice for the National Art Merit Awards. I am also a member of the National Art Council’s National Film Strategy Team.
